Slimming pills are marketed to provide a quick-fix to those who desperately want to lose fats. Different slimming pills have different ingredients and thus, promise different things. The promises range from suppressing the appetite to increase metabolic rates. Due to this, they are highly controversial as these promises often risk consumers to suffer from side-effects such as diarrhoea, high blood pressure, or worse, stroke.
Besides harming your health, dependence on slimming pills does not allow you to develop and foster good, long-term habits for a lifestyle change.
Losing weight is all about lifestyle change. When we work hard (and smart) to get rid of fats by eating clean and exercise regularly, we will see that the results are usually more lasting compared to the results of taking pills. Once you stop consuming those pills, there is a high possibility that you will get back what was previously lost. Thus, slimming pills are not sustainable.
All in all, there is no such thing as a quick fix, especially in losing weight. Do not be afraid of making conscious lifestyle changes. It takes time and may challenge you both physically and mentally, but without a doubt, it is safe and guarantees permanent results.
